From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a “safari of the sea.” Each day brought unforgettable encounters: swimming alongside nurse sharks, leopard sharks, dolphins, whale sharks, manta rays, stingrays, sea turtles, and more. It was nothing short of extraordinary. What sets Wanderlust Rose apart is the level of care and intentionality behind every detail. Emily and Tess go far beyond hosting—they create deeply personalized, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for each guest. They captured moments I would have otherwise missed, with daily photos, professional drone footage, and even underwater photography. Because of them, I came home not just with memories, but with stunning images I’ll treasure for years. The itinerary was thoughtfully curated and seamlessly executed—from swimming excursions to magical experiences like breakfast and lunch on secluded sandbanks, and a candlelit dinner on the beach set on a table sculpted entirely from sand. These are the kinds of moments you simply wouldn’t know how to plan on your own. Every aspect—from expert guides to comfortable transportation to included meals and activities—was handled with precision and care. Honestly, recreating this trip independently would have cost significantly more and delivered far less. This was my third trip with Wanderlust Rose, and it reaffirmed exactly why I keep coming back. This was my second trip with Emily and Tessa, and another memorable one!! Emily, Tessa, and Farah planned every detail of this trip to perfection. We got to experience the local culture, cuisine, and learn about the history of Guatemala and seeing Farah’s passion and love for her country made it so much more special. The volcano trek will forever be one of my favorite experiences and getting to spend an extra day at base camp allowed us to take in the experience and cherish it without feeling exhausted or rushed. The Fuego trek is a must do and is challenging but absolutely worth it. Pablo and David, our volcano trek guides, were incredible and made sure we all had a positive and unforgettable experience. I’ll never get over the fact that I was able to see an active volcano erupting with my own eyes. Lake Atitlan was also the best way to end the trip with a relaxing resort at the lake, we also got to explore some surrounding villages and learn about how diverse and unique they all are. Just a 10/10 trip overall and I can’t wait for my future trips!!

The Superior Hiking Trail tour was an incredible experience from start to finish—even though I was pretty nervous going in. The welcome dinner was such a fun, warm way to meet the group and get to know our guides. Emily and Tessa are quintessential pros. Despite the wide range of experience levels in the group—from complete beginners to seasoned hikers—they made it all look effortless; they kept everyone engaged, encouraged, and appropriately challenged while making sure we were having a great time. If they ever were stressed or had a hitch behind the scenes, we’d never have known—they brought the most easygoing, kind, and positive energy every single day. They managed logistics with total ease: getting us everywhere on time, tuned in to how everyone was feeling, and always ready to help as needed. Best of all, they’re just really fun to be around—great to talk to, laugh with, and share the trail. And the photography? Stunning. It elevated the whole experience knowing I could stay present, unplugged, and fully in the moment—while still having gorgeous pice to look back on.
