About this trip
Join me in Minnesota for a 4 day/3 night backpacking trip on the Superior Hiking Trail to see stunning fall colors and hike this epic route.
I first hiked this section of the trail in 2020 and fell in love with the views and the experience of backpacking as a whole.
And in 2021, I led my first Superior Hiking Trail group trip. Check out the highlights here. Since then, I've led several years of sold out backpacking trips along the Superior Hiking Trail.
This is your chance to have one-on-one guidance from me personally & learn how to backpack! And if you're an experienced backpacker? No worries, this trip is also for you. The trail + the fall colors are truly spectacular.
And this year, we've included the scenic gondola ride in Lutsen in the trip price! It's the perfect end to a fantastic weekend :)

This was my first trip with Emily and it was incredible! Everything logistically was taken care of allowing us to really enjoy the experience and fantastic animal sights! I’ve traveled with other tour groups in the past but I really enjoyed the smaller group and the vibe of the group overall. I will definitely be returning in the future for another adventure!

This trip to Uganda was absolutely wonderful! The lodges were stunning, the food delicious and the wildlife encounters beyond expectation! The most amazing people to share this experience with and the most beautiful pictures taken bij Emily & Tessa to remind this trip of a lifetime. Everything was so well arranged and I would highly recommend this trip with Wanderlust! This was my first trip with Emily but definitely not the last! Absolutely loved it! ❤️

This was the most amazing trip of my life! Emily and Tessa provided a top of the line experience that is incomparable to anything I have ever done! Absolutely amazing. Every place we stayed and activity we did was perfect! It was so nice seeing Emily know the vendors and their excitement to see her, it really goes to show how much care and time she takes putting these itineraries together. Her relationships give you the best possible experiences. Tessa and Emily are the best of the best and I definitely plan on traveling with them again!

This trip was unlike anything I have ever experienced! From the moment I arrived in Uganda until the last minute I felt welcomed, happy and couldn’t stop smiling. The people on this trip were incredible, so easy to bond and connect with. The safaris, activities (like the epic gorilla trek) are things I will never forget. Emily’s attention to detail, kind heart and positive personality made every minute perfect. From seeing all of the big five, to primates and pumbas - Uganda is truly the pearl of Africa.

We have used Emily for our last three trips to Egypt, Japan and Ireland, and we are already planning our next trips with her. My lifelong dream of visiting Ireland was nothing short of MAGICAL! There was not one minute that I was not smiling and soaking it all in. Emily Rose has taken the time to put together the perfect itinerary. Her passion and love for Ireland shines brightly!! Our local tour guide, Cash, was a treasure of knowledge and a hoot to be around. I loved this trip and Emily Rose so much that I’ve already signed up for Japan next year!

This is my second trip with emily, and i've already booked my third and fourth! When I talk about my time an experiences with Emily and her I am torn because she is such an amazing person and curates such fantastical experiences that part of me wants to keep her all to myself and part of me wants to shout from the rooftops, how amazing she is.
Our most recent adventure had the absolute perfect mix of luxury, pleasure, breathtaking views, and thrilling adventures that pushed you just enough past your comfort zone to question your life choices for a minute. Personally, those are the reasons I choose to travel, so that was perfect. What I didn't expect, but Emily intuitively knew that I needed, was real, raw, down-to-earth, local experiences that have changed my worldview, permanently, for the better. We were fully immersed in the Guatemalan culture in the best way. I would recommend a trip with Emily to anyone!
