Traveling with Emily J. is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I’ve had the privilege of joining her on tours to both Ireland and Greece, and each trip was unforgettable. Emily has a remarkable gift for bringing together people who start as strangers and leave as friends.
What makes her tours stand out is the way she blends must-see sights with hidden gems — from bustling cities to remote villages. In Ireland, she led us through charming towns steeped in history, and in Greece, we explored coastal villages where we were welcomed like locals. I've put off writing this review, simply because I couldn't find the words. This trip with Emily, Tessa and both of the Emma(s) was hands-down the best trip ever.
The lodges, the animals we encountered, the country and the people were nothing short of amazing. Every expectation I had was surpassed. We had luck (and Emily and Tessa's connections to the BEST rangers/trackers) and were able to see the famous tree climbing lions, leopards, baboons, hippos and more. We met the beautiful people of Uganda, trekked for chimps and I had the once in a lifetime experience of being touched by a mountain gorilla. I still can't put my feelings into a coherent description of that moment.
Our drivers, the famous Emmas, were incredible. They were not just "drivers", they were part of our group. They were attentive, kind and fun! They shared information about their country and villages. A fruit stand stop, corn on a stick, an impromptu visit to a tea field and having a local villager show us how to make bricks.
Emily and Tessa are invested in the well-being of the locals and their future. A tour of a non-profit, @yimba_uganda and a visit at a village school. Such beautiful souls.
What I was not expecting was the care and camaraderie that Emily and Tessa fostered with this group. Never have I travelled with people who shared so freely with one another: from photos, sunscreen, hats, clothes, food to life stories, tears, laughter and encouragement.
From our first dinner to our last goodbye - memories and friendships for life.

This was my first trip with Emily and it was incredible! Everything logistically was taken care of allowing us to really enjoy the experience and fantastic animal sights! I’ve traveled with other tour groups in the past but I really enjoyed the smaller group and the vibe of the group overall. I will definitely be returning in the future for another adventure!

This trip to Uganda was absolutely wonderful! The lodges were stunning, the food delicious and the wildlife encounters beyond expectation! The most amazing people to share this experience with and the most beautiful pictures taken bij Emily & Tessa to remind this trip of a lifetime. Everything was so well arranged and I would highly recommend this trip with Wanderlust! This was my first trip with Emily but definitely not the last! Absolutely loved it! ❤️

This was the most amazing trip of my life! Emily and Tessa provided a top of the line experience that is incomparable to anything I have ever done! They kept us safe and informed the whole way through with amazing guides- The Emma’s, beautiful and comfortable accommodations, and unforgettable face to face encounters with wildlife. I highly recommend this trip and I’m so grateful I got to experience it. Can’t wait for my next trip with Wanderlust Group Trips!

Emily has been an awesome group leader on both trips I’ve taken with her! Iceland and Tanzania have both been a huge success! She’s always prepared with well thought out excursions and thorough details, even managing unexpected weather or mishaps with ease; you can always count on her! We have used Emily for our last three trips to Egypt, Japan and Ireland, and we are already planning our next trips with her. She is absolutely amazing, makes the trip absolutely pleasant, and can’t imagine using anyone else. She personalizes each trip to use the best attractions and main spots to visit all in one itinerary. She thoroughly vets everyone she uses on these trips and hand-picks the itinerary. Myself and Giovanna adore Emily and look forward to many more trips with her.

My lifelong dream of visiting Ireland was nothing short of MAGICAL! There was not one minute that I was not smiling and soaking it all in. Emily Rose has taken the time to put together the perfect itinerary. Her passion and love for Ireland shines brightly!! Our local tour guide, Cash, was a treasure of knowledge and a hoot to be around. I loved this trip and Emily Rose so much that I’ve already signed up for Japan next year!
